Sell tickets on your own website without redirecting buyers to universe.com. Our embeddable widgets work on most websites including Wordpress.org, Weebly, and Squarespace.
Note: Our embeddable widgets are not compatible with wordpress.com.
To sell tickets on your website:
1. Login to your Universe account, go to your My Events, and select the event you would like to manage.
2. Select 'Embeddable Widgets' from the menu on the left side of your screen and choose the widget you would like to embed from the widget options (i.e. button, tickets, direct link, event listings or calendar).
3. Copy the code provided and paste it into the code of your website where you would like the widget to appear.
Button Widget
Use the Button Widget if you are selling tickets for a single event and you want a clear call-to-action. You can easily customize the text, text colour and button colour using the menu on the 'Button' tab. Change the language of your button using the dropdown "Language" menu towards the bottom. If you prefer text only (no button), use the "text link" toggle towards the top of this tab. Remember to save.
Once your button has been fully customized, copy the link and paste it into your website code.
The Ticket Widget
Use the Ticket Widget to give your website visitors a preview of the different types of tickets available for a single event at first glance. Customize the "Get Tickets" button text and colour, as well as the language, using the menu on the 'Tickets' tab. Remember to save.
Once your ticket widget has been customized, copy the link and paste it into your website code.
Direct Link Widget
Use the Direct Link Widget to guide attendees into the checkout flow by showcasing your event banner image, event name, date and time on your website.
There is no customization available for this widget, simply copy the link on the 'Direct Link' tab and paste it into your website code.
Listings Widget
Use the Listings widget if you have many different events within your account and would like your website visitors to see them all at a glance. Customize the "Get Tickets" button text and colour, as well as the language using the menu on the 'Listings' tab. Remember to save.
Once your ticket widget is customized, copy the link and paste it into your website code.
Calendar Widget
Use the Calendar Widget if you have events happening over several days. Your website visitors can choose the date that suits their schedule while quickly viewing the events and timeslots available on that day. If you have many different events within your account and would like your website visitors to see them all at a glance, select the “All Events” option. If you would like to showcase the current event, select the “<Your Event Name>” option.
Both options let you customize the call-to-action buttons’ colour and language. If showcasing the current event, you may also customize the "Get Tickets" button text.
Once your calendar widget is customized, copy the link and paste it into your website code.
