Alternative ways to promote on Facebook

Other than promoting your events on Facebook by our preset features, you may also connect our events to your Facebook by adding ticket purchase embeds yourself. 

You will simply need to copy and paste a link. This allows your visitors to buy tickets directly from your Facebook Page or Facebook Event without having to visit Universe.com. 

Option 1: “Find Tickets” button on Facebook Event

First, start by creating a Facebook Event on Facebook (Learn how to create a Facebook Event).

1. On the Event page, click the “Edit” button on the top right.



2. In the Panel that shows up on the left, select “Add Ticket Link”.



3. Facebook will ask you to provide an URL address for ticket purchase.



4. In another browser tab or browser window, log into your Universe account. Go to your My Events page, and select the event you would like to manage.

5. Select the ‘Embeddable Widgets’ button from the menu down the left side of the page.


6. From the widget options on the right, select “Direct Link” and copy the link on the bottom.



7. Go back to the Facebook page, paste the link into the input box.



8. Click “Save”. Now visitors are able to purchase tickets from your Facebook Event.


Option 2: “Book Now” button on Facebook Page

First, make sure you have an existing public Facebook Page (Learn how to create a Facebook Page) and you are the admin or editor of that Facebook Page (Learn how to add/change a Facebook Page role).

1. Log into your Facebook account and navigate to the Page on which you want to add your ticket purchase embed.

2. On top-right of the page there is an option to “Add a Button”.



3. Click the button and select “Book Now” as your button type from the pop-out menu.



4. In the next pop up, choose “Link to website”.



5. Next, Facebook will ask for a link URL address.


6. In another browser tab or browser window, log into your Universe account. Go to your My Events page, and select the event you would like to manage.
 
7. Select the ‘Embeddable Widgets’ button from the menu down the left side of the page.



8. From the widget options on the right, select “Direct Link” and copy the link on the bottom.



9. Go back to the Facebook page, paste the link into the input box.



10. Click “Save”. Now when visitors click the “Book Now” button on your Facebook Page, they will see a ticket purchase window.
