Ticket types on timed-entry events can be applied to all timeslots or a selection of timeslots by using application rules. These rules are repetitive, based on the time of day, the day of the week, or some combination of the two.
For example, you can use these rules to specify a ticket type to be available only on afternoons, only on Tuesdays, or only on Tuesday afternoons.
This article includes:
- How to Edit Your Application Rules
Edit Your Application Rules

- From the dropdown menu, select one of the application rules. If required, follow the prompts to configure your settings further, and then save. To learn more about the various application rules, read the ‘types of application rules’ section below.

Types of Application Rules
Basic rules:
- all timeslots: This is the default setting on all new ticket types. Use this rule if you want the ticket type available on all timeslots
- weekday timeslots only: Use this rule if you want the ticket type available across all Monday-Friday timeslots.
- weekend timeslots only: Use this rule if you want the ticket type available across all Saturday-Sunday timeslots.
Advanced rules:
There are two advanced application rules which allow for more granular customization. If you choose one of these options, a window will open to capture your rules.
Exception rules (i.e. ‘all time slots except’):
- On select day(s) of the week: Use this rule if you want, for example, the ticket type to be available on all timeslots every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- During a time range per day: Use this rule if you want, for example, a ticket type available on all timeslots except those that begin between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
- During a time range on select days of the week: Use this rule if you want, for example, a ticket type available on all timeslots except those that begin between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Inclusion rules (i.e. ‘only select time slots’):
- On select day(s) of the week: Use this rule if you want, for example, the ticket type to be available on all timeslots on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
- During a time range per day: Use this rule if you want, for example, the ticket type to only be available on timeslots that begin between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM any day.
- During a time range on select days of the week: Use this rule if you want, for example, the ticket type to be available only on timeslots that begin between 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays
