Let fans quickly and easily purchase tickets to your event using their phone’s camera.
Event hosts can post the QR code outside the event entrance to capture last minute walk-up sales or to help alleviate any waiting time at a box office! It is also a great option to add to any marketing materials.
To generate a QR code for selling tickets to your event:
- Navigate to this free QR code generator.
- Under Enter Content, copy and paste the URL to your Universe event (ex. https://www.universe.com/events/rock-band-concert-18-event-tickets-7XF3MB)
- If you want to track sales coming from your QR code, add a tracker to the end of your URL,
ex. ?ref=qrcodesales

a. Consider using Universe’s custom checkout links if you’d like to add a discount code or access key to your URL. - Below, there are further options to customize your QR code (add an image, change the colour, etc.).
- Once you’re finished, click Create QR code, and once created, click Download PNG.
- Take the PNG file and add it to your poster!
All fans have to do is open the camera feature on their mobile phone, scan the QR code on your event’s marketing material, and they’ll instantly be directed into the checkout flow.
Important: Make sure to test the QR code works before committing it to any print work. You can use your own mobile phone to see if it opens the correct URL.
