To help protect your account, Universe uses multi-factor authentication (MFA). MFA adds an extra layer of security to help safeguard your account information and orders.
What is multi-factor authentication?
Multi-factor authentication, or MFA, is an extra security step used when logging in. After entering your password, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity using a second method, such as a one-time code sent by email or generated by an authenticator app.
Log in using MFA
- Go to Universe.com and enter your email address and password.
- Click Log In.
- Enter the one-time login code sent to the email address associated with your Universe account.
Emails can take 1–2 minutes to arrive.
Set up MFA using an authenticator app
- Log in to your Universe account.
- Click your user icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings.
- Go to the Account and Security tab.
- Scroll to the Authenticator App section.
- Download an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, from the App Store or Google Play. You may need to create an account with the app you choose.
- Open the authenticator app on your phone and scan the on-screen QR code.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app.
- Click Save Auth App to complete setup.
