Q: How can I hide my profile from search engines?

A: Log-in to your Universe account, and head to https://www.universe.com/dashboard/settings. You will have the option to hide your profile from search engines. 

 Note: once you request to hide your profile from search engines, Universe begins your removal process immediately, however it may take a few days on Google's end (and for other search engines) to remove you from their indexes.
 

Q: ​How does Universe make sure my information and privacy are safe?

A: We care about the privacy of our users. To protect your privacy and security, we take steps (such as requesting a unique password) to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications from Universe, at all times. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL).
 

Q: Where can I find specific details about privacy on Universe?

A: For further details about privacy on Universe, please visit https://www.universe.com/privacy. Universe may update its Privacy Policy from time to time, and so you should review this Policy periodically. When we change the policy in a material way, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of the Privacy Policy. Changes to the Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted.
