- General Conditions. By purchasing a ticket and entering the premises, visitors expressly agree to comply with all rules, regulations, and guidelines established by the Balloon Museum. The Balloon Museum disclaims any and all liability for incidents arising from non-compliance with posted guidelines, warnings, or inappropriate behavior. Visitors acknowledge that the Balloon Museum is not responsible for any incidents, injuries, or damages (including but not limited to property damage or bodily harm) resulting from actions that violate these rules, whether undertaken by the visitor or others.
- Visitor Conduct and Responsibility. All visitors must conduct themselves in a responsible manner and be mindful of others while engaging with the installations. Any damage to exhibits, museum property, or harm to others resulting from reckless or negligent conduct will result in immediate removal from the premises without a refund. The Balloon Museum reserves the right to take appropriate legal action for damages caused.
- Area-Specific Rules and Notices
SWING – Motorefisico
- Conduct: Visitors may interact with the installation but must exercise caution to prevent harm to others.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors assume all risks associated with improper use of the installation and agree to release the Balloon Museum from any related liability.
FOUNTAIN OF ETERNITY – Sasha Frolova
- Conduct: This artwork must not be touched under any circumstances.
- Liability Waiver: Any damage caused by touching the artwork is the visitor’s responsibility and may result in removal from the Museum.
MARIPOSA – Christopher Schardt
- Conduct: Please watch your step near the floor cushions and use the swing with care to avoid disturbing other visitors. Access to the swing is limited to a maximum of 5 people at the same time.
- Liability Waiver: The Balloon Museum is not liable for accidents caused by improper use or failure to observe caution in shared spaces.
BB – Tadao Cern
- Conduct: Visitors must not touch the suspended balloons.
- Liability Waiver: Balloon Museum assumes no responsibility for injuries or damage resulting from contact with the artwork.
THE GINJOS – Rub Kandy
- Conduct: Visitors may gently interact with the inflatable elements. However, kicking, forceful pushing, or any action that may damage the installation or pose a safety risk to others is strictly prohibited. Respectful and cautious behavior is required at all times.
- Health & Safety Warning: This installation features strobe lighting and flashing visual effects, which may trigger seizures or other symptoms in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy or light sensitivities. Visitors with such conditions are strongly advised to avoid this area or proceed with extreme caution.
- Liability Waiver: By entering this area, visitors accept full responsibility for their actions. The Balloon Museum shall not be held liable for any injuries, health reactions, or damages resulting from unsafe behavior, failure to follow posted guidelines, or pre-existing medical conditions.
HYPERSTELLAR – Hyperstudio
- Conduct: Strict adherence to all posted rules and staff instructions is required. Jumping into the ball pool is strictly prohibited.
Important Notice Before Entering the Ball Pool:
1. Epilepsy and Balance Caution: This area is not recommended for visitors with epilepsy or balance issues.
2. Behavior in the Pool: Jumping inside the pool is prohibited to maintain a
respectful and safe environment.
3. Pool Depth: The pool depth is 30 inches (2.6 feet). Children must be accompanied
by an adult at all times.
- Liability Waiver: By choosing to enter Hyperstellar, visitors assume all risks associated with this area, including potential injury. Accompanying adults are fully responsible for minors and agree to release the Balloon Museum from liability for any accidents in or near the ball pool.
SQUEEZED IN – Lucas Zanotto
- Conduct: Visitors may engage with the inflatable spheres, but only with extreme care. Kicking, forceful pushing, or any aggressive interaction is strictly prohibited.
Potential Risks:
* Personal injury from forceful impact with the spheres.
* Falls resulting from sudden or excessive movement.
* Fractures or injuries due to high-impact contact.
* Damage to personal belongings (e.g., glasses, phones, etc.).
- Liability Waiver: Visitors engage with this area at their own risk and agree to release the Balloon Museum from liability for injuries or personal item damage.
HER JOY – SchwedER
- Conduct: This installation must not be touched.
- Liability Waiver: Touching the artwork may lead to liability for damages and possible removal from the Museum.
POLYGONS – Cyril Lancelin
- Conduct: Throwing parts of the installation, kicking, or directing pieces at other visitors is strictly prohibited. Only constructive play and building are allowed.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors are liable for any damage or harm caused by misuse of the elements.
BALLOON BOX
- Conduct: These rooms are intended for photo use only.
- Liability Waiver: Misuse of the space may result in removal and personal liability for damage.
BALLOON TREE – Myeongbeom Kim
- Conduct: This artwork is for photo purposes only and must not be touched or altered in any way.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors are responsible for maintaining the integrity of the installation and any violations may result in exclusion from the exhibit.
DREAMS – Falsini
- Conduct: Jumping on installations, inflatable igloos, or any balls within this area is strictly prohibited. Visitors must follow all posted guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors acknowledge that failure to follow rules increases the risk of injury and agree to hold the Balloon Museum harmless from any injury resulting from rule violations or other visitor actions.
ADA – KSB
- Conduct: Pushing or throwing the large inflatable ball is strictly prohibited to prevent injury to other visitors. Visitors must avoid causing harm to others and follow posted guidelines and staff instructions.
- Liability Waiver: By entering Ada, visitors waive any claim against the Balloon Museum for incidents or injuries that may occur due to the behavior of other visitors. Following posted Balloon Museum instructions is advised to ensure a safe visit.
ZEROS – SPY
- Conduct: Visitors must not touch the installation or enter inside the flex barriers.
- Liability Waiver: Any injury or damage from unauthorized interaction is the visitor’s responsibility.
VORTEX – Hyperstudio
- Conduct: Throwing balloons at others is strictly prohibited. Visitors must engage respectfully and safely.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors agree to release the Balloon Museum from any liability for injuries incurred in this area.
VR EXPERIENCE
- Conduct: This experience is recommended for visitors aged 9 and above. Children under 5 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors assume all risks associated with the VR Experience and agree to follow all posted instructions.
AI DATA PORTAL – Ouchhh
- Conduct: Visitors should be cautious, as the visual effects may cause temporary disorientation or loss of balance.
- Liability Waiver: By entering, visitors accept full responsibility for maintaining personal stability and release the Museum from related claims.
A QUIET STORM – Quiet Ensemble
- Conduct: Due to the textured anti-slip flooring, there is reduced risk of slipping; however, visitors accept that there remains a possibility of slipping incidents.
- Liability Waiver: Visitors acknowledge the inherent risk and agree to release the Balloon Museum from liability for any accidents or falls, being fully aware of this possibility.
4. Final Dispositions
- Balloon Museum Rights: The Balloon Museum reserves the right to remove any visitor who fails to follow these rules or engages in unsafe behavior. Such visitors may not be eligible for refunds.
- Visitor Acknowledgement: By entering the Balloon Museum, visitors acknowledge they have read and understood these rules and agree to release the Balloon Museum from any claims related to incidents or damages arising from actions or conduct (by yourself or others) that conflicts with the rules, and posted signs at the Balloon Museum
- Risk Acknowledgement: By entering the Balloon Museum, visitors acknowledge they are aware that the visit to the Museum involves the risk of personal or psychological injury, pain, suffering, temporary or permanent disability, death, property damage, and/or financial loss. Visitors are also aware of the bacterial and viral diseases, including COVID-19 (collectively, the “Disease”) and the risk that they may be exposed to or contract the Disease. NOTWITHSTANDING THESE RISKS, VISITORS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEY ARE VOLUNTARILY ACCESSING THE MUSEUM WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE DANGERS INVOLVED. VISITORS HEREBY AGREE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ALL RISKS OF ILLNESS, PERSONAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, AND/OR FINANCIAL LOSS ARISING THEREFROM, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF THE COMPANY OR OTHERWISE.
