What time should I arrive?
General Admission Ticket Holders
Your ticket has an allocated timeslot for arrival. Please arrive at the time stated on your ticket.
VIP Ticket Holders
If you are a VIP ticket holder, please arrive 15 minutes before the entry time stated on your ticket. You can access via the VIP ticket holder entry point at the main entrance and then head straight to the Live Brain Data Recording area.
What will I be listening to during my EEG?
You may be listening to any part of the Dark Side of The Moon album.
What kind of device will you be using to record my brain activity?
We will use an electroencephalography (EEG) headset that sits on the surface of your head. We will need to touch your head and hair to get it into position. Your hair will get a little wet from the salt water on the device.
What is EEG?
EEG is a technology that measures the electrical activity of your brain using sensors on the scalp. These kinds of devices have been used for decades in scientific and medical research.
How will I be listening to the music while my brain activity is being recorded?
You will be listening via headphones in a semi-private pod.
How do I see the visualisations of my brain activity?
Your brain activity will be transformed and projected in the 'Cloud' Gallery a short time after your brain data recording session, so please proceed to the ‘Cloud’ Gallery directly after your session. You will not be looking at the visualisation while your brain data is being recorded. Your brain data response will be visible once during the evening.
When I go to the Cloud gallery, how will I know which visualisation is mine?
In the Cloud Gallery, each wall is a different colour that matches the colour scheme of the listening pods. When you enter the Cloud gallery, the colour on the walls will help you identify your own visualisation. Also, the music playing in the Gallery will be the same piece you heard during your brain data recording session.
What will you do with my brain data?
The brain activity data that we record will be used to anonymously generate the visualisation in the 'Cloud' Gallery and to generate an insight report that we will send to you via email within 48 hours of the evening. After that we will delete your data from our systems.
Who will be managing the brain data recording session?
The brain data capture will be run by the Brainstorms team, rather than Frameless, and you will be required to sign a consent form on the night before your brain data recording session.
