As a host using Stripe Connect, there are certain rules you can enable to collect information from your buyers and decrease the chance of payment disputes (chargebacks) and fraud.
Address verification (AVS): pass Stripe the zip / post code for transactions made in the US, Canada, UK and EU. Stripe will confirm that the information entered matches the billing address for the credit card.
CVC verification: collect the 3 or 4 digit code on the back of the card to ensure that the buyer is in possession of the card being used and is not using stolen card numbers.
How to enable rules on your Stripe Connect account:
1. Open your account in Stripe
2. Navigate to 'radar' > 'rules' in the menu along the left side of your screen
3. Click the 3 dots to the right of each rule to enable or disable it
Once enabled, that information will be passed through from the Universe checkout form to Stripe for verification.
