Statement descriptors describe transactions on bank or card statements. Clear and accurate statement descriptors can help minimize chargebacks and disputes.
If the client is processing payments via their own Stripe Connect account:
Within a client’s own Stripe Connect account, there is an account level Statement Descriptor that they can program. This is the default descriptor for charges made directly through their Stripe account.
However, for any payment that is processed through Universe, their account Statement Descriptor is
overridden with a dynamic descriptor based on event metadata Universe passes along with each order.
The statement descriptor is the title of the associated Universe event, truncated to the max length (19
characters).

If the client is processing payments via Universe Payments:
The statement descriptor will appear as follows for a customer who has purchased tickets to their event: UNVRS*EventName
The prefix UNVRS* and the title of the associated Universe event, with the whole descriptor truncated to the max length (19 characters).
