What is WRSTBND?

WRSTBND is a Universe partner that specializes in advanced ticket delivery and on-site technologies. The WRSTBND integration enables Universe event hosts to provide their guests tickets via NFC or RFID channels.

What is RFID?

RFID stands for Radio Frequency IDentification. The WRSTBND integration allows event hosts to issue wearable tickets, such as wristbands. Having their ticket on a wristband allows guests to easily access and scan their tickets, helping throughput on long lines and offering a physical, offline, and hard-to-lose ticket. Guests can also load their wristbands with a cash balance in advance of the event, allowing them to pay for items on-site without having to worry about carrying extra funds.

What is NFC?

NFC stands for Near-Field Communication. The WRSTBND integration allows event hosts to issue custom designed digital tickets that ticket buyers can download onto their Apple or Android devices. These tickets scan in using the device’s proximity to the scanner versus using traditional QR or bar codes.

What does a WRSTBND integration look like on Universe?

In order to enable WRSTBND, please contact a member of our sales team here. 

When enabled, you’ll need to enter credentials provided to you by WRSTBND. 

After uploading and saving that information, you’ll want to configure your Universe tickets to use RFID or NFC. Universe allows you to designate some or all of your event’s tickets as using RFID or NFC technology from both the Integrations page and from the Tickets page, located in Event Information. 

Buyers of these tickets will receive special emails directing them to WRSTBND to connect them to their tickets.
