Customize your event's display and transaction currency

Events using Universe Payments are able to fully process payments in 135 currencies worldwide. For a list of fully supported currencies, please reference the table below and check back often as we are always adding new currencies.

For events using Stripe Connect, the display currency and transacted currency will always be the same, and are limited to the below-listed options for transacted currencies.

To change the display or transaction currency on your event: 

1. Log-in to your Universe account, go to your 'My Events' page, and select the event you would like to manage. Or, create a new event page.

2. From your 'Event Manager' page, select the 'Basic Information' option from the menu down the left side of your screen. If you are creating a new event, skip this step.

3. Scroll down to the location fields in the section titled 'When and where is your event?'. The display (buyer pays) and transaction (receive funds in) currencies are auto-filled based on your event's location, but you can edit them by clicking on the currency.

  Note: For Universe Payments events, you can select almost any currency as your display currency, but the transacted currency is limited to the above-listed options.

The payment methods we accept varies per currency and/or location. See below for a list of which payment methods are accepted where.

 Warning: There are some countries that are not supported and cannot receive withdrawals. View a list of restricted countries here.

Note:  If you are converting your funds from one currency to another during the payout process, you can expect to be charged a foreign currency exchange fee for the conversion. This is not a Universe fee.
